"bike till you drop"

the title says it all, yes we bike. My friend decided that 7 of us should start summer exercising so, what better way than to bike, cause the water still too cold. we rent the bike at the nearby bike place, san diego bike and kayak. Although I don't know whether their rate is the lowest presently but i recommend everyone that want to rent to shop around. Just search it in the internet, call them ahead of time and usually the more people you can gather the lower the price. Back to the bike, when we started, a couple other more pro biker with pro attire and stuff, already said that we were brave. Now that I look back, those people were hinting us but we are to excited to understand at that time. So we started on the bottom, Hidden mountain road. A couple feet was okay, a couple minutes was fine, but when we started going uphill, whoa dude. Seriously, do eat breakfast, way before, get plenty of drink, especially electrolyte, and take your time. Some of us nearly threw up, dizzy, and lightheaded. Another suggestion, start early cause the sun will decrease your stamina. Stop occasionally to enjoy the view, it is worth it!! Then after a couple hour later (or what seems like forever) you get to the top. At this time, take a big break. We enjoyed the view of san diego coast all the way to coronado bridge and the north black beach could be seen from here. At night (no bike after dark please, value your life) you can see all the beautiful lights across san diego. It is worth the drive even if you stay in southern part of san diego. All in all, it is an interesting experience.

"Beautiful San Diego views"

This is an inspiration point located in the La Jolla area. Aside from the cross, which has been debated over the last decade, this point will give you and the kids a great view of San Diego. On our last visit, we were able to see the coast down to Downtown and as far east as Miramar. There are some benches to sit on but not many. You get to see San Diego in all its glory. At night the kids will especially enjoy the Sea World fireworks without the Sea World admission price.

"Great Views"

This activity is surrounded by a bit of controversy. As this cross is on governemnt land and many people feel it intermingles the government with the church. With that said the views from up here are amazing! You can see down over La Jolla to the Ocean. This is also a very well known bicycle path but I recommend this only for the advanced bikers! Overall, walking up this hill can be somewhat of a task for the little ones but 5 and over should have no problem. Just give them some time :)
