A children's playground area is located along the third base line.
The Montgomery Biscuits ballpark has to be one of the nicest minor league ball parks in the country. It is such a great place for some family time if you are baseball lovers, but who isn't.....it's the great American pastime! There are tickets ranging in price from about $9 (grass tickets) - $20's for bleacher tickets. Our family loves to sit on the lawn which is near right field. We bring a blanket, baseball gloves and balls and the kids have a blast. They roll down the grassy hill, throw the ball, and occasionally pay attention to the game, HA! There is a lot of crowd interaction, Big Mo the mascot is always wondering around. 7th inning stretch games are always a hit, and food is REALLY good! You have to try the trademark Biscuit with honey. The stadium is located on the Riverfront area of downtown Montgomery which offers a lot of great places to eat and wonder around. OUr family loves the Biscuits!
We love our Biscuits here in Montgomery! This is a fun activity for the whole family. The players actually hustle and play for the love of the game (and to be scouted out as well). If the littler ones gets bored of watching the game, there is an area along third base side that has inflatables at a reasonable price. The best part of the whole place, is watching the trains go by in the outfield. They are right there in your face.
This ballpark is perfect for families. It is small enough that you don't feel overwhelmed, but large enough that you get that true ballgame experience. They have really great deals often on tickets and also have theme nights where kids get free gifts for coming to the game, so it can really be an inexpensive night for a ton of family fun!
The Biscuits put on a great show - the neat thing is that there are train tracks that run behind the stadium, so the batters attempt to hit a home run and hit the train. The mascot (Big Mo) walks around the crowd during the game and there is even a playground for the little kids who can't sit still in their seats. They shoot biscuits out of a cannon throughout the game as well which is unique. And, of course, hot dogs and ice cream for the kids can't be beat. To park, you must use on of the various lots located around downtown (they do not have their own dedicated lot), so look for the folks directing traffic to parking.
