Montara State Beach

A wonderfully beautiful beach located about 20 miles south of San Francisco and 8 miles north of Half Moon Bay on Highway 1.  The beach is wide, expansive, and accessible from the road, though the steps can tend to be a bit steep.  There is no ramp access to the beach.  You can park on the more northerly side in the dirt parking lot or on the south end next to La Costanera restaurant.  It's usually easier to find parking on the north side.
