This park features rugged cliffs, secluded sandy beaches, coastal plains, streams, canyons, and hills, including 1,347-foot Valencia Peak. Naturalists and backpackers enjoy the solitude and freedom found along the park’s trails. There are also mountain biking and equestrian trails. The best-known beach is Spooner’s Cove, across from the campground.
My kids really enjoy spending the afternoon here playing int he tidepools and searching for treasure. There are great hiking opportunity and The trillium and Bishops pine are really neat if you catch the timing good. Los OSos is blessed to have such beautiful play space!
For those of you that love hiking this is a wonderful spot! There are many beautiful trails along the water that are just breathtaking and there are even quite a few that are stroller-friendly, which I love!
The beach is also a great way to end a fun hike - take a picnic and let the kiddos run around & play in the water! Such a beautiful place!!
