Tour Molly Brown's historic three story home. Learn about the life of Molly Brown, her bravery during the Titanic sinking, and the home's ghosts.
The Molly Brown house is a nice historic house but the part I really appreciated was the stories about Molly Brown's very interesting and adventuresome life. However, it is not a good place to take very young kids who have not learned about the Titanic and who like to touch everything.
I loved the Unsinkable Molly Brown's House. It was a very cool house and so interesting to see how she lived, since she was "new money". I am very interested in the Titanic so this was right up my alley. Her house is beautiful and the tour give you some great background information on her and the house. There is also a little gift shop that has Titanic memorabilia along with other things.
The house itself is gorgeous & the tour was super-interesting. However, it is a bit long. While I was interested, by 7-year old got a little bored.
They have done an excellent job restoring the old house & the history behind that itself is quite interesting.
There are no photos allowed inside the house (although I snapped one before I was informed of that!). There is an area at the end where you can try on period hats & take photos. There are old photos inside the house of how it looked back in the day as well as pre-restoration.
The gift shop has a restroom & lots of great books about Molly Brown & the Titanic. There is street parking, but beware of the marked loading zones! We had to drive around the block several times before lucking out with a space.
