"Kids and moms enjoy this place"

We love exploring local attractions and if you love history (or maybe even if you don't :) ) this is the place for you. There are many interactive activities so no one will be bored. The kids especially enjoy climbing around in the grain elevator.  For lunch stop in at the Cafe Minnesota for some good eats.

"Lots of interactive exhibits"

This musuem has lots of really nice interactive exhibits for children of all ages.  Climbing in the grain elevator is a huge hit but there are many other things to keep them exploring for quite a while, all the while learning about Minnesota history.

"Lots to do for kids"

This isn't a stodgy old state history center.  The exhibits are interesting and have many hands-on parts for kids to try.  Special activities like puppet shows cater to kids.  The hit with children, however, is the "Grainland" climbing structure, where kids can learn what a grain elevator does while climbing and playing.  We take the kids here at least once every year.
