Check out Mickey's house and then get a picture with the "big cheese".
I was so disappointed at the way this was set up. You walk through the house which is really cute to a really long line that feels really cramped and hot. It feels a little disorganized and after about 20 minutes of waiting and the line hardly moving my daughter asked to leave so we squeezed back through the sea of people and left before seeing Mickey. It feels like too many people in too small of a space. My daughter thinks princesses not Mickey when she thinks of Disney so this was not an important part of our visit.
I have to admit that I have a much different perception of Disneyland than most because I only live 30 minutes from the park and we visit often. Mickey's House is one of those places we get dragged to when we have friends in town that are taking their kids to Disneyland for the first time. Its cute, but can be crowded and dead ends into a slow moving line where visitors wait in line to take a picture with Mickey. If getting a picture with Mickey is a crucial part of your Disney experience, then definitely head on over. Otherwise, I would skip i.
The layout of this attraction might be a little confusing. Even if you don't see a lot of people in Mickey's house, a line will begin to form in his "backyard" as you wait to meet Mickey. I have left this line a few times because my kids just didn't want to wait any longer, even though they do play cartoons in the room closest to Mickey. The reason for this wait is the awesome interactive time you get with Mickey. Each group gets their own time with the mouse himself to take as many pics and give as many hugs as your heart desires. These pictures are some of my favorites and I recommend waiting for this magical time!
