"GREAT!"

This was a great place to go and explore and waste time as a family..as most museum are for families with little ones.  The best part was that it is located a small walk away from the Vizcaya Gardens and "home".  We enjoyed it!

"excellent"

Went today with my husband and 2 boys ages 9 & 13.  They didn't want to go but had a great time.  Had a insect crime scene exhibit, discussing how insects are used to solve crimes, a 30 min. monologue by Galileo regarding his life and inventions, an exhibit about the mastadon shark.  Great for 3rd grade and up kids.  Esp. those interested in science.  Not the same old displays every other science museum has.

"Not worth the money"

I generally love science museums, but this one was truly pathetic. Half of the museum was dedicated to a cultural guest exhibit interesting, perhaps, but had nothing at all to do with science. Most of the regular exhibits were missing or broken. The planetarium show was okay. Lame is best word I can use to describe the rest of the museum. It was small, filthy and many of the exhibits didn't have signs explaining what you were looking at.

"Fun with the Family"

Birds of prey are one of the specialties of this modest but popular facility. Known for its work rehabilitating predatory birds, it keeps more than 175 live animals and features permanent and special natural history exhibits. Indoors, see the Smithsonian’s Latin America–Caribbean exploration exhibit, play virtual basketball, and surf the Internet. The planetarium hosts astronomy and laser shows.
