Experience the story of Jesus Christ's birth, ministry, selfless death, and miraculous Resurrection through music, dance, and drama. Free tours of the Mesa Arizona Temple Visitors' Center are offered before and after the pageant. Performances are presented in both English and Spanish.
This pageant shows scenes from Jesus's life as told in the New Testament. Actors dress in period clothing. The sets are amazing. The dancers are very talented. The pageant is moving and well produced. There are even live animals involved. We particularly enjoyed the angels above the stage blowing long trumpets.
I went to the Easter pageant this year with my older 2 children (ages 9 & 6). We actually went to the dress rehearsal to try to avoid so of the crowds and because it started a bit earlier. We sat about 5 rows from the front and could pretty much see everything. On a previous occasion we'd brought the whole family including babies and sat on the grass but it was so far from the stage it was hard to see anything and keep the kids interested. Both times we brought food to keep us entertained while we watched and waited for it to start.
