"A beautiful park and playground"

Yesterday my husband and I had one of those "how have we lived here so long and not been here before moments" when we visited Meridian Park. This is a gorgeous park on the grounds of the Good Shepherd Center, which is, itself, a beautiful building with lots of history and many activities still going on. Oh, and free parking!
As we walked through the grounds to meet friends we were impressed by the size and beauty of this park. There are lots of trees and grass and plenty of places for kids to run around. There are public restrooms conveniently located in the middle of the park, so you're never too far away (a must with small kids!).
The playarea is amazing.  There are several sets of swings, both regular and baby swings. Also the playarea has multiple climbing structures and slides and even a dirt/mudpit area where tons of little boys were happily digging and playing.  The trees provide nice shade and there are benches near the play equipment, so parents can sit and relax while watching their kids.
This park is definitely going on the top of our return-to-often list. Drop by and visit it for yourself!
