We had 10 in our group ages 4-55. We had the best time! We bought tickets online so we didn't have to stand in line. If you sign up online you can get discounts.
When you go inside, they have you wait till everyone is in, and that's when the kids will start begging for toys/souvenirs. Then you are led into the arena and seated at long tables. They bring your meal which you eat by hand and it was actually very good. The tables are in sections by color and you will get a flag of your color to wave and cheer for your knight. So you eat and cheer and just have a rowdy time. It is pricey, but for a special occasion it is well worth it.
This place is so much fun! I always loved going here. I haven't brought my daughter yet because it is expensive, but one day I will. You get to watch a show set in the medieval times and cheer for your knight. The food is really good. No silverware aloud which is fun for kids.
Be prepared to be nickeled and dimed to death! They let you in early so they can tempt your kids with tons of little items that they will think that they must have. Other than that the show is spectacular and my kids really enjoyed it. The food was pretty good and the staff were a lot of fun. You only get one refill on your drink due to the dark so make sure to keep that in mind.
Medieval Times is a very unusual place! It's expensive, but where else can you travel back in time to the middle ages! My kids were enthralled by the live show and of course didn't mind having to use their hands to eat at all. Not a place to go if you want a quiet dinner with conversation, but a great dinner plus activity for the family.
My husband and I recently went to Medieval Times in Dallas. I was a little skeptical about the whole thing, but it turned out to be really fun! They had the jousting and other stuff going on, and the food was really tasty. And there was lots of it! I wouldn't bring younger kids, but definitely something the older kids might enjoy.
