"A fun break from the cold"

We visited Massanutten Indoor Water Park in the middle of February. It was nice to walk around in bathing suits and forget about the cold temperatures outside. This activity is pricey, $38 for adults and $26 for kids over 2, but worth the price if you're staying in Massanutten. My kids absolutely loved this place. My 3 year old was busy riding down the water slides and climbing up the giant water playground. There was also a "baby" area that kept my 18 month old busy. The lazy river was fun too. The resort has double-inner tubes with a closed tube for little ones and an open tube for adults. It was nice to be able to relax on the river with the kids. The downside of this activity is that I could easily see an older child (6-8+ years old) getting extremely bored. The slides and activities are really geared towards younger kids. Remember to bring a towel, the resort doesn't provide these, and also some flip flops for those inevitable trips to the public bathroom.

"Great indoor park"

But be sure to bring flip flops and your own towels. If you stay in a Massanutten hotel during a sales tour visit, your water park passes are free. Water temp is good and food prices are good as well. Lockers are not free, but you do get your money back after turning in the key. If you go to a resort sales pitch, they'll give you free tix into the water park.

"Fun, but small and expensive"

The Massanutten Water Park is a real respite from a cold day on the slopes.  There are several water slides, a surfing experience and tons of play-gym type water fun.  My kids really enjoyed the visit, but it IS on the expensive side given the size.  However, if you take the timeshare tour, you can get free passes!

Customer service isn't the greatest.  We visited once to find the water so cold that it was not possible to enjoy the park.  They said the heaters were broken and it was February!  No refund was given.

"Water Park is okay"

Massanutten's water park is okay and pricey.  The accomodations are lack luster and dining has much to be desired.  If we visit again, it will be on a snow day, that shouldn't have really been a snow day, and just make a day trip.  Not worth the money to stay overnight anywhere.

"Massanutten Water Park"

We did the indoor water park.  This place has a lot to offer.  The kids love it and there was plenty to do without being to big.  They have places to eat and arcade games, but the kids never wanted to leave the water area.  We went on a special time share preview.  The time share presentation was a nightmare.  They promised an hour tour which led to over three hours.  Go for the waterpark, not the timeshare.

"Water fun all year!"

This water park has a large indoor area with slides, water play zone, lazy river, hot tubs and a simulated surfing ride.  It has something for all ages and has a food area.  There is an outdoor water area open in the summer with a wave pool and other pools and play areas.  It is near Harrisonburg, VA.
