Did you know that the Susquehannah River once was used as series of Locks (like a canal) for transport ? See evidence of the local history at the park. There is also a very old Kiln that you can check out too. Any kids interested in bugs might do well here also. Being close to the water, various bugs are abundant. My favorite were damselflies... Younger kids may not appreciate the history, depending on the demeanor of the child, they might still like this park.
