"Fun with the Family"
Seven-time women’s world surfing champ Margo Oberg started giving lessons on Kauai twenty-five years ago. Instructors with the Margo Oberg Surf School teach beginners inside the break at Poipu Beach, using a safe beginner’s board to take you out when the waves are smaller than 4 feet and winds are moderate. Located just past the Sheraton Hotel, where the road ends; 332–6100 or 639–0708; www.surfonkauai.com. The price is $60 for two hours. Children ages eight and younger require parental supervision and assistance during the lesson.
