"Interesting"

The Cliff Dwellings was fun to walk around, but it is relatively small. The gift shop/museum was much larger than the actual dwellings. It is fascinating to see, and it would be fun for children to run through, but it does not take very long to explore.

"Expected a little more.."

The Cliff Dwellings were great, but I kind of expected more for what we paid.. It was neat & fun to walk through the old homes, or dwellings, that people lived in. My son wasn't greatly amused but for a 2 year old it's probably not the funnest of places. Great piece of history to see & explore, but I will save my money next time..

"The best!"

Our whole family thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Manitou Springs Cliff Dwellings. It was an amazing experience to explore the homes inhabited by Native Americans 700 years ago. They have been preserved beautifully and it was a wonderful family activity.

"Awesome Family Fun"

The Cliff Dwellings were by far one of my favorite things that we did in Colorado Springs.  The kids like climbing in and out of the dwellings and it's a great history lesson on the size and culture of Native American Indians that lived there so long ago.  :)

"Hands On History"

The Manitou Cliff Dwellings are a must see in Manitou Springs.  I found it so interesting to be able to go in and touch and see how people lived.  It's one thing to see pictures of cliff dwellings, but a whole other perspective to be able to tour them yourself.  My son enjoyed going through the caves and cliff houses.  Wear play clothes and shoes - it's very dusty and dirty in the cliff dwellings.  We also saw an Indian dance demonstration which was very educational, beautiful, and amazing.  The gift shop at the Cliff Dwellings was the biggest gift shop I've ever been in.  It was interesting to browse through.

"Anasazi cliff dwellings"

What an amazing piece of history preserved for us to experience! I visited here as a child on a road trip, and still remember it as one of the highlights of that vacation! I am so glad I can now share that experience with my kids. What I remember most is being able to actually go inside these dwellings and touch and feel where people lived over 700 years ago! There are very few places like that here in the United States. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy watching the fabulous Indian Dancers.
