"Fun and WET experience"

This activity is a must for visiting Niagra Falls. Beautiful views and SO FUN! What kid does not like getting completely drenched on purpose? I would compare the experience to going through a human car wash. The lines are long, but move quickly and the staff do a great job getting everyone on and off as quickly as possible.  No need to get advance tickets or anything -- just buy them outside and get in line. Ponchos are provided, but do very little to keep you dry....this is no "mist"!

"Very Exciting"

A definite must do when visiting the falls!  The boat literally takes you right up to the falls.  They give you a poncho to wear but you still get wet.  You can hear the roar of the falls and the mist is a bit more than a "mist".  Very exciting and fun.  Wouldn't recommend for very young ones as it can be a little scary but older kids and adults will love it.

"Great Close-Up Tour of the Falls"

Several years ago, we visited Niagara Falls and chose to try the Maid of the Mist tour.  Unfortunately, we booked the tour in advance, and the day we selected to take the tour was extremely foggy.  We weren't able to see the falls as clearly as we would have liked.  However, it was still a great experience to be so close and to feel the mist of water.  I'm sure on a clear day, this would be an even greater experience!

"Great attraction!"

We love the Maid of the Mist!  It is totally worth the money spent on this boat ride.  The Maid of the Mist picks up passengers and takes them right to the falls.  You get so close that the mist actually reaches you.  Luckily, everyone gets rain poncho's to keep you dry.  The is a one of kind experience and is highly recommended for anyone who is visiting the falls.  I will definitely be back!

"Maid of the Mist"

Maid of the Mist is a boat you ride to tour the Niagara Falls.  They provide you a raincoat..Not sure of the price anymore.  But its a definite must when you're up in New York.  Great for all ages.  Nice for a honeymoon treat ;)  The mist from the falls sprinkles on to you. Its awesomely great! :)

"Fabulous!"

We loved our trip on the Maid of the Mist.  The Falls were enormously loud and powerful, and the Maid of the Mist put you right in the middle of the action!  It was amazing to see the waterfall that close, and honestly, it was a little scary!  I never felt unsafe, and my kids loved it, but the power of those falls seen up close is a humbling experience!  Make sure to check it out!

"Fun for the Whole Family, Young and Old - and Yes, a SOAKER!"

Heading to Niagara Falls with an 11 month old, we weren't exactly sure what kind of activities and attractions we would be able to visit.

Neither of us had ever been on the Maid of the Mist, but we know plenty of people who have suggested it.  We laughed as they handed us the trademark blue ponchos thinking, "these are nice, but seriously, how wet are we really going to get?"

Okay, listen up:  the boat literally sails you INTO the falls.  You will get SOAKED from almost any spot on the boat.  If you don't like water, spraying water, torrential downpouring water, you may want to avoid this one.

It was windy, loud, and again, extremely wet- but then what did we really expect?  :)

My husband, myself, and my cousin and his wife really enjoyed ourselves.  Lily at 11 months and their daughter at almost 2 y/o were not happy at all.  They were pretty scared and at the height of the soaking we actually moved with them to the inner part of the boat- the area that gets battered the least.

For older kids through adult, and ESPECIALLY on a super hot day, this was a great experience.  The tickets weren't too terribly expensive and there are coupon books (free) ALL OVER the Niagara area.
