I like the family style food portions as we're used to eating that way and their wait staff are friendly, so I'm leaving a 4 star rating. But the last time we went for an outing, we had four families. Each of us had at least one toddler in tow plus an infant who were asleep in strollers. We were told we couldn't eat there with the strollers and told we couldn't be seated even with our reservation of 14. They also didn't have enough of the carsseat holders (which are fabulous) since there were already a couple other parties using some. After waiting an hour for our reservation we decided on a Saturday night all we could do was take our strollers back to the cars and two of us had to hold our infants during dinner while one had the carseat holder and the other used a highchair since their infant was the only one able to sit.
Maggianos is one of those restaurants that you can’t leave hungry. This family style restaurant offers huge portions for the money. The menu offers many great selections, but our families’ favorites were the Maggiano's Salad and Chef KB's Lobster Carbonara.
Maggianos is authentic Italian food and will never disappoint. The food at Maggianos is beyond amazing and the portions are outrageously large (which really isn't a problem). I know going into Maggianos that I will have leftovers for the next day and possibly even the next day after that. They are very kid-friendly and the servers are fantastic and very attentive and friendly. The family size portions are a great deal and even though the prices are a tiny bit high, it's completely worth it because you leave with up to 2 days leftovers. I'd say that's a good deal!.
This italian restaurant is all about family. It feels like being in an italian kitchen and the servers are great and they make you feel at home. Kids will love the special dishes they have for them. A bit pricey but worth a splurge now and then. If you love italian food then this is the place to go. Lots of locations throughout the US.
