"Fun with the Family"
An 1838 Gothic Revival mansion, Lyndhurst was once the home of the notoriouslywealthy financier Jay Gould. Many original furnishings are still here, recalling an era of robber barons and pre–income tax wealth. The arboretum includes a historic rose gaden, a children’s playhouse, and a picnic-perfect landscaped lawn overlooking the river.
