On a windy spring day, Lynch Park is a great spot for kite flying. Once part of the Evans’ estate (President Taft once summered here!), it is now the number-one choice of settings for many bridal pictures and weddings that take place in the park’s beautful rose garden.
Children will delight in the extensive play structure, swings, and band shell (with summer concerts). The two small lifeguarded beaches tend to be rocky, but there’s a small snack bar and kayak rentals (Kayak Learning Center, 800-9KAYAK). The annual Beverly Homecoming weeklong festival (end of July to first week in August) is centered in Lynch Park.
