This park has everything you could want from a state park - camping, picnic area, foot trails, horse trails, canoe, kayak and paddle boat rentals. There is a beautiful fresh water pond that is very tranquil. I personally love to kayak on it and take pictures of wildlife but you can also take small boats out on it or rent canoes, kayaks, paddle boats and life vests. The park also has some beautiful trails - two small loop trails and two longer trails. The smaller trails are less than a mile each but the two longer trails are about 6 - 8 miles. So you would not want to take small children on these trails although they do have areas for picnics along the way. It's a beautiful state park that I enjoyed as a child and continue to enjoy today!
