When you are taking a rest from the water fun of Lake George, consider a trip to Lumberjack Pass Mini Golf. This course features eighteen holes of golf with water hazards and real sand traps. It has been voted #5 on the list of 10 Craziest Mini Golf Courses on Earth (entertainmentdesigner.com), and is “the closest thing to being on the golf course” (according to their website). While the course itself was a little too challenging for our four-year old, my husband and I did enjoy seeing how awful of golf players we could be. We generally prefer miniature golf courses that are not so much like “real” golf, however, I noted that families with children older than ours having a great time seeing who could maneuver the course the best. The course offers fine water misters to cool down under, which was a huge hit with my child (during our visit the temperature was in the high 90’s). It also offers ball washers to wash your ball if it gets caught in a sand trap and we certainly used those after nearly after hole! I also noticed, with great pleasure, that the entire course is wheel-chair and stroller accessible. Lumberjack Pass also offers a snack bar with burgers and chicken, kid’s meals, and ice cream treats. Finally, make sure to check their website before your visit as they have a coupon section with deals you can print. Fore!
