"Wonderful Family Fun"

We Love the Louisville Zoo!! We go as much as possible! We have a zoo closer to our home but we would rather drive further for this quality. The animals are very visible and the little stations for the kids are awesome! We love the sprinkler park in the summer and the trick or treating in October is very special. LOUISVILLE ZOO ROCKS!!

"The Zoo :)"

I love the Louisville Zoo, it's an amazing place to go. I have always enjoyed seeing all the animals and enjoying the pretty scenery. Also love the petting zoo and seeing the big cats is always my favorite thing to do.Also love the fact that I get a ton of exercise from walking around and it's always great to stop in a gift shop or get a cold drink somewhere.

"I love this Zoo!"

I've been to several, and this is one of my favorite. Not to mention I only live 30 minutes from the Louisville Zoo ;)
My favorite time of year is in the fall when they set everything up for Halloween. I love taking my kids. My son was one month old on his first trip to the zoo, dressed in his homemade R2D2 costume strolling around.
It's perfect for family outing and there is quite a bit for everyone!

"What do I love about The Zoo?"

My favorite aspect of the Louisville Zoo is the reciprocity that a membership of The Zoo provides. There is an extensive list (found at http://www.aza.org/uploadedFiles/Education/Kids_and_Families/Special_Admissions_Program/aza-2010-reciprocity-list.pdf) that tells you which other zoos offer free/discounted admission or other discounts just for being a member. That's a great feature for a traveler like me!

"Great for fams"

We love our Louisville Zoo.  They just opened the seals and sea lions as of 8/10, and are looking forward to the polar bears next year.  There are plenty of bathrooms, which I find helpful with two little ones, and water fountains.  Kids cups, purchased for around $2.00 allow for $.96 refills, cokes or icees. :)  It is a rather hilly zoo and requires quite a bit walking to get from exhibit to exhibit.  Wear good shoes!

"Zoo is good but fences are high"

My son enjoys the zoo so we have been a few times, but for a three year old, the fences are really high and I have to hold him up all the time to see the animals. This defeats the purpose of taking the stroller, but then the stroller is need for all the dang hills! Just don't go when it is really hot outside or you will be miserable.

"Wonderful Zoo"

This zoo has it all!  Beautifully landscaped with a variety of animals - even gorillas!  My only complaint would be that it is a little too hilly.  But there is a tram car that goes around, as well as a train.  Little ones can enjoy the carousel, and free-roaming peacocks.  There is also an amazing water park, which is included in the entrance fee, called Calistoga Splash Park at Glacier Run, in addition to a regular playground and a children's area that includes a petting zoo.
