After fighting enormous crowds last year at the very popular Underwood Family Farms’ Fall Festival, we were looking for something a little quieter and quainter this year. Lombardi Ranch definitely delivered.
My kids (ages 3 and 7) loved everything about it – and I loved that our weekday visit was void of crowds. During our two-hour visit, we had plenty of time to do it all – the petting zoo, train ride and corn maze. The kids also enjoyed running through the rows of pumpkins, playing hide-and-seek inside large pumpkin structures and climbing to the top of the haystack. But most of all, we loved roaming through the many, many pumpkins to pick out our own.
If you don’t mind more people, the weekends offer up more special events and activities like pony rides, wagon rides and face painting, plus live bands.
Good to know before you go: Entrance to the ranch is free, but most activities have a fee. Bring plenty of cash. Everything from food, activities and the pumpkins themselves are available for purchase with cash only. (There is an ATM on site in case you need it.)
No flush toilets, though several portable potties are available.
This place is wonderful. I am so happy to have found a new family tradition. This pumpkin patch had so many things to do and see that we stayed for 2 hours. We also went back the following weekend to see the animals again. My 2 year old would not stop talking about the cow & donkeys.
The pumpkin selection is out of this world. There are so many pumpkins to choose from. From very tiny to very large. All very reasonably priced.
They have hay rides, corn maze, train rides, pony rides, & petting zoo that require tickets that can be purchased there. The weekends we went there was a live band. (so much fun!!) They also have a hay pyramid the kids can climb, a old fire truck that is totally accessible to the kids, & a small area with animals in pens that are free.
They have cupcakes, candy apples, corn on the cob, and other carnival like foods. They also have a small area for people selling crafts and other great stuff.
I really liked our experience at this pumpkin patch ranch. The energy is so comforting and easy. My daughter had so much fun touching and picking out all her pumpkins...it really was a really nice day with my family. Even if you don't want to buy a pumpkin, it is worth taking a trip out to the ranch to spend a day out of the city and at a real family place. I give this place 5 super stars!!!!
Lombardi Ranch is a tradition we can't skip out on, no matter how busy we are. Around Halloween, they offer train rides, a corn maize, peting zoo, face painting and more.
But even during the rest of the year, it is a great place to visit and get fresh veggies
Lombardi is a family owned farm at the North end of the Santa Clarita Valley. They have an amazing fall festival which includes live bands, pony rides, train and wagon rides and an amazing corn maze. They have more pumpkins to choose from all locally grown and very reasonable prices. In addition they have an annual scarecrow contest that is amazing. Its worth a drive from all over the southland to enjoy this great ranch.
