"Beautiful Oasis"

The Livermore Public Library's main location at Civic Center is a lovely, airy space, with a roomy children's room with plentiful computers and interactive activities for young ones.

There are regularly scheduled children's story times, as well as special presentations and events.  Homework help is available at special times, and there is a program where young school aged children can practice their reading skills, reading to domestic animals.  

Plenty of parents come here to curl up on a couch with a book of their own while their youngster explores the nearby shelves.  To sweeten the deal further, there is a cafe on the premises, as well as a Friends of the Library bookstore.  The patio out front is adorned with a stunning mosaic, which doubles as a wonderful place for the kids to run and play when the weather is pleasant.
