For a great meal, live music and a fabulous tour of Lake George, we recommend taking a cruise with the Lake George Steamboat Company. They offer many different cruise options, including with or without meals for lunch or dinner, as well as moonlight cruises, fireworks cruises, and even specialty cruises, such as an Elvis dinner cruise! We had the pleasure of taking a dinner cruise with our four-year old daughter. Contrary to what you’d think, you’re actually served your meals while the boat is at dock. Attentive staff was available with drinks and refills, and the buffet meal, which offered various foods to appeal to adults and children alike, ended with a delicious dessert and coffee. Live music played throughout our meal and during the cruise, and the boat offers many different areas to enjoy the views of Lake George’s various islands and shorelines. Throughout the cruise, which lasts a little over two hours, we moved around a few times to see all the boat had to offer, including a gift shop. There’s also a dance floor which was especially popular with the children. The cruise was a tad too long for our child’s short attention span, but luckily we had crayons with us and she happily colored while my husband and I enjoyed the incredible views. Whether you choose a cruise with or without a meal, this is a must-do if you’ve never been out on Lake George.
