"Great fun for me and the kids"

wonderfull, great food at great prices. more pick your own fields than anywhere else on the island that i've seen. highly recomend. By the way we cut down our Christmas Tree there this year. It was Baiting Hollow Nursery ,they said it was part of lewins. It was awsome. We got a tractor ride out to the field and cut a nice Douglas Furr. Any tree you cut is 30 bucks. We were happy they didn't raise the prices, especially when all other prices are going up in the tough economy. Highly recommend this place for trees also. i found these pictures of the farm while seaching online.  http://www.flickr.com/photos/lewinfarms/

"Berrylicious!"

We've come to Lewin Farms with the kids in the past and they love it! The strawberries are delicious and super juicy. Your kids will certainly leave "red-handed" and with reminders of their fun on their clothes (so don't have them wear anything that can't handle a stain or two).

The farm stand has water, other drinks and snacks. If you have younger children, I would recommend bringing a lunch, so you don't have to hunt for a restaurant afterwards and deal with cranky hungry kids.

The farm also has peach, apple and other fruit orchards, so you'll definitely have an excuse to come here more than once a year.

Strawberries are great for smaller kids (under 5) since they are on the ground. When apple picking, the trees usually have lower branches with some apples at just the right height for your four foot preschoolers. You should easily be able to pick a bag's worth of crisp apples for home.
