"Lots to Do!"

Lawrence Farms is a great place for kids of all ages. Besides picking your own fruits depending on the season, there is a duck pond as well as goats, horses, chickens and a turkey for children to enjoy. There is also an adorable child-size village for kids to play in that includes a school house, ice cream parlour, and even a jail. Activites change based on the season so check their website or call to see what's being offered.  Besides being a fun place for your whole family to enjoy, it's a also a wonderful place to take photos (next year's Holiday card, anybody?).

"A nice family outing"

You can go to pick your own fruits (we go apple picking there every year), and spend time with the kids in all of the play houses.  The play area is set up with wooden things as houses, jails, ice cream shop, etc.  Make sure you bring your camera as you get some great shots of the kids in the houses.  You can also pumpkin pick and do straw mazes.

"Lots for the kids to do"

Not only can you pick your own fruits and vegetables, but there is a small zoo, and a great "village" the kids can play in.  Also there is food you can purchase - pizza, hot dogs, ice cream - and at least in the fall months - delicious donuts and cider.

"Too expensive"

The price for cherries this year is 5.99 per pound.  That's at least twice as much as the other farms in the area.  My suggestion is to go to the pickyourown site and find another farm that has cherry picking and call them up for the price.  There are a lot of other farms with just as great of an atmosphere for a much better price.

"Great Fun"

We have been to lots of different places to pick apples but this orchards beats all.  Very picturesque setting and lots to do all around.  Pick berries in the summer, apples in the fall and horse-rides in the winter - this farm offers it all.  They rent wheelbarrows that make it easier to carry all you've picked back to the farm stand.  The kids will love the little village (miniature houses made for kids).  There's areas to see turkeys, goats and geese and swan wander around the little lake.
