This is a 7.5 acre neighborhood park. It includes a spacious lawn play area containing a softball backstop for informal games. There are two separate sand pit areas with picnic tables located near the main entrance. There are bathroom facilities near the bridge at the back of the park.
Laurie Meadows is a nice enough park with two structures for toddlers and older kids, swings, and a nice oval for walking that connects to another San Mateo park, Casanova (which has a bathroom and basketball court). There is a lot of grass at this park and picnic tables, so it would be nice for a party but can not be officially rented from San Mateo City (Casanova can, however, which is an even smaller and older park that is sort of connected and has a bathroom.)
lots of different play areas for different ages. it has a big grassy field that is a great place to run around (watch out -- the grass can be uneven in parts), watch dogs play, or watching people of all ages play soccer. our favorite part is the bridge in the back of the park that separates it from cassanova park. there's almost always ducks hanging out around the canal. last time we were there, we saw at least 25 ducks.
