Las olas is a great boardwalk in ft lauderdale. It has many shops to visit and it is most illuminated at night. It is a heartbeat away from ft lauderdale beach,so you have activities during the day and night. It has many restaurants with different types of flavors ,the Cheesecake factory (especially for the dessert). Also has many wine and ale bars,if you just feel like dining is not for you.
I lived in Fort Lauderdale for 5 years and me and my husband would always go to Las Olas for our date night. The stores are expensive but it's right by the beach in Ft. Lauderdale and there are quite a few nice restaurants there. There is also a very nice chocolate shoppe that fun on Las Olas. It spans 3 or 4 blocks and it's nice to window shoppe as there are plenty of nice little boutiques to see.
This is a wonderful place to walk around and just take in the sights. There are so many little shops and restaurants to check out. There's just a nice buzz about this place, not to mention the fact, that it is right on the water. There are water taxis and 1 hour cruise boats that you can go on to hear about the million dollar homes in the area. There is a pirate restaurant around here also. Plus, if you like taking pictures, this place has tons of great picturesque little homes and vistas. This is a must see!
It is a special street in Ft. Lauderdale which is very vibrant and there are many restaurants, shops, and art galleries. There is a popular fudge shop which my kids love. It's a nice place to walk around with all age kids. There is a boat ride in the area too which is fun....it points out who lives where and it's fun to see the beautiful homes in the area.
