"free passes from most library summer reading programs"
We have made Lakeside an annual tradition. My children earn free passes every year from our local library reading program. My husband and I keep our eyes open for mailer coupons that get us both in for $18....for $18 any family of five can overlook the rundown feel of this park. It actually reminds me of my childhood....neat throwback, retro kind of feel.

Visiting Lakeside has become an annual tradition for our family. When our kids were little the kids' area was perfect - small enough to run around and ride the rides over and over. And now that they're just a bit older, they are big enough for the larger rides. And everything is small scale enough that I can let them ride something without me and have them meet up with me after the ride. The wristband is definitely worth it - keeping track of tickets is too hard. There are often coupons available through library programs, etc.
