This park does a great job of keeping the public spaces clean! I was impressed that for such an old park with some older facilities that the restrooms were clean and the public area were as well. First, the admission - it was a little pricey, but if you look at their website there are numerous opportunities for discounted admission. Walking into the park, you are greeted by smiling ride attendants. Tons of rides exist here for the smaller kiddos in your crew and most are centralized near the entrance. We had a great time riding the train which takes you on a tour of the entire park and gives a brief history of the park. My kiddo's favorite ride was the boat chute - a floating boat that tunnels through a dark passageway with the grand finale being a splash down a hill into the lake below. I was also pleased to see that the food choices (although not healthy) were reasonably priced especially compared to Dollywood. For those with older children, there are rides on the other side of the park for the more daring (and taller) members of your family. Also on this side of the park, you can find a playground and splash area - so make sure to bring a change of clothes or swimsuits. Overall, this park does a great job of providing a fun day trip destination for the entire family.
We go to lake Winnie every year our children really enjoy going. The tickets are reasonable however they have gone up over the years and you can expect the type of rides like you can find in your local fair that comes each year . They do have a new water area that the kids really enjoy however be sure to bring a change of clothes inside of the park don't do like I did and have to walk all the way out to the car to get the clothes I would recommend lake Winnie it is very kid friendly.
We went there with our kids (3 1/2 yr old and 2 yr old) this summer. Honestly, it was less than I expected. But kids loved there! Since that was a Labor's Day weekend, they were running a special ticket deal. I believe we paid around $70 for 4 of us with unlimited rides. The park itself was old and most of the rides were like the ones at the summer festivals. It's a good place for toddlers, but if you have older kids, I recommend to go to Sixflags for sure.
We enjoy lake Winnie, but it has gotten pretty pricey now. It use to be pretty reasonable, but now prices have gone up but the park isnt getting any bigger. Its fun for the day and worth the trip for at least once but not like dollywood where you can do something different everytime you go. Pack your snacks and save some money.
Lake Winnepesaukah, aka Lake Winnie, is great fun for the whole family. Whether you are young or just young at heart, there's lots of activities to do at this old fashioned theme park. While it's not the least expensive venue out there, it's certainly worth the money for the varying activities to be had.
