"Yucky mud, but still great fun!"

If you want to go to the Lake, this is the one to go to.  Their are many, many trees that surround this lake, which make it perfect for camping even in the heat.  Their are boat launches and many private places to anchor your boat for an afternoon of fun.  My family and I like taking small rafts or floats and relaxing on the water.  The only downside is on holidays it is so packed that I would definitely recommend staying away.  It can take hours and hours to get to the Lake because of all the backed up traffic.  Also, the mud on the shores is really slimy, but that's not that bid of a deal.  :)

"Fun with the Family"

Previously, owned and operated by the Heath family since 1962, the resort is now under new management and newly re-opened June 2008
The resort is a safe, clean, fun environment, with everything you could possibly want for a great outdoors vacation. There is a full-service marina and dock where you can rent Jet Skis, Wave Runners, canoes, boats (power, paddle, and pontoon), sport fishing tackle, and equipment for diving and windsurfing. The lake is famous for its plentiful white bass, water-skiing, and salt-free swimming.
Forgot your bathing suit or gear? The fully stocked general store has everything, including provisions for a barbecue or picnic. Lakeshore Cafe serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner during the summer season. Open-air patio dining is available; great views!
Facilities include the boat launch, picnic grounds, playground, volleyball and basketball courts, swimming pool, and hiking trails around the meandering shoreline. Overnight accommodations include nineteen lodge units; one-, two-, and three-bedroom town houses (complete with mini-kitchens and decks) right on the lakeshore; plus forty RV hookups and 270 campsites. Extremely popular April to October, but winter season has mild weather, fewer crowds, and, of course, the same gorgeous scenery.
