"Good for a Stroll"

Lake Eola has  a small playground area and is great to  take the kids (in strollers) on a stroll around the lake. Older kids will not find much enjoyment here. There are available bathrooms by the playground. There are ducks to feed here. Lake Eola does not offer much in entertainment unless there is an event, such as an art show or festival going on. If there is, you will have a good time because it's a big space to have events. Otherwise, it's perfect for a stroll.

"Figure out where to park before you go!"

When we visited the park there was a lot of construction going on...that was a few months ago.  Be sure to find out where exactly to park when you go.  We had a great time walking around part of the lake and looking at the swans and swan boats.  Unfortunately, we didn't see a playground and we were on the opposite side of all the restaurants and shopping.  My kids are younger so I was afraid to make the trek around the lake and have them melt down about walking back when we were finished and the traffic was too busy to get in the car and drive to the other side.  Also, be sure to have quarters for the parking meters as much of the parking is street parking.  Worth the trip though if you want a break from the theme parks!

"Free Outdoor Fun"

Lake Eola is frequently visited by our family. My 6 and 8 year-old boys have run wild on the playground, circled the lake on the wide sidewalk (about 2/3 of a mile perimeter), fed the plentiful ducks and swans waterside, and seen many of the musical, dramatic, and dance shows that have taken place at the bandshell. The manicured grounds surrounding the lake, along with ample benches and even an Asian pagoda, provide many comfortable spots to picnic. Lake Eola is especially scenic during sunset. Amenities include two sets of restrooms with water fountains on opposite sides of the park, an outdoor restaurant that serves full meals (very tasty food) for those seated , along with ice cream and drinks at a walk-up window, and last-but-not-least, rental of swan paddle boats for your cruising pleasure.

"Great Park & Playground"

This is a lovely park where you can feed ducks with the little ones, let them play on the playground, and attend periodic live events and festivals. You can also ride around the lake in one of the swan boats! It's set right in the middle of downtown Orlando, so it makes for great scenery as well.

"Fun with the Family"

Much overlooked, but a great place for a picnic, this downtown refuge offers sculpture, lighted fountains, concerts, a pagoda, mossy oaks, a scenic walk, and graceful swan paddle boats.
