"Pick your own strawberries!"

L.F.R. Farms & Greenhouses offers visitors the opportunity to pick their own strawberries or purchase some pre-picked.  When we went, each daughter was given a basket to take to the field so they could wander as they wanted.  We compiled their picks into one basket at the end and came home with some juicy, sweet strawberries.  Their strawberry season usually runs Mid-April through Late June.  It’s best to give them a call for their hours.

When you leave the field, be sure to sample the Strawberry Cider and wander through the greenhouses.  The prices are very reasonable and the plants look great.  We brought some home.

If your kids are happy to just wander around picking strawberries and choosing plants for your yard, they’ll be fine here.  If visiting a farm means playgrounds, wagon/hay rides and petting zoos, you might want to skip this one because you won’t find those things at L.F. R.
