"This place is just alright"

We took the Movie Backlot tour with our 2 and 4 year olds, as it was the only one that was not too "rough" for our toddlers. I definitely wouldn't take this tour again. It showed filming spots for Jurassic Park, Lost, and some others. This was as advertised so I shouldn't complain too much. But the best part about it is really seeing the picturesque island, which you can see from the road. At a whopping $23/per adult you expect more. Die hard Lost fans will probably be pleased.
The rest of the ranch may provide some diversions, there is pony rides and horseback riding available that kids and teenagers will enjoy.
Snacks and food inside, offerings are just okay.

"kids ride"

I sometimes go there to take my 4 years daughter to keiki (kids) horse ride. Since trecking is for older kids and adult, this is the only riding she can do there.  You need to be there by noon to get a ticket.  Only 5 dollars.  It takes about 5 minits. My daughter loves touching and feeling hourses.

"A Great Choice!"

This ranch was so much fun, I cannot wait to go back. They have so many different activities for you to chose from and the BBQ was so good!

We chose to the ATV ride and movie tour. This ranch has been in so many movies and television shows: LOST, Jurassic Park, Mighty Joe Young, Pearl Harbor, and You, Me and Dupree to name a few. This tour was so much fun! They also had a shooting range, and horse back riding too. There were so many activities I don't recall them all. We decided to take the bus here but I recommend driving to this one if you can because there are some great things to see nearby. We ended up getting the car and driving right back out there. If you like Lost they have the inside on how to get to all the great spots you will recognize.

"Fun with the Family"

Kualoa Ranch County Regional Park is situated against a backdrop of the spectacular Koolau Mountains. A variety of recreational fun is to be had at the ranch—everything from horseback riding to helicopter tours to Jet-Ski rentals. The beach park is spacious, pristine, and inviting. It’s considered by many to be the best on this side of the island. Although the shoreline is rocky, swimming is safe year-round. If you’re here at low tide, you can walk on the reef all the way to Chinaman’s Hat, the little island sitting offshore. It’s so named because it closely resembles the wide-brimmed hats worn by the Chinese laborers to protect themselves from the glaring sun.
If you do trek to the island, be sure to wear some old, but well-soled, tennis shoes. Also, keep a constant watch on your kids. If a big wave were to suddenly hit, it would be very easy to slip off the reef.
This area possesses great historical significance and is included on the National Register of Historic Places. In Old Hawaii all the chiefs sent their royal children to be educated at this site, now considered sacred.
The park across from the ranch contains complete facilities, including restrooms, picnic tables, and lifeguards.
