The park has restrooms, drinking water, picnic tables and shelters.
Locals swim and fish in the stream though you should be warned that all Hawai'i streams have Leptospirosis and Giardia in them so do not attempt swimming if you have any open cuts or scratches.
The small road wiggles a short way down to a beautiful blacksand beach. The place is popular with local families, and facilities include pavilions, showers, barbecue grills, restrooms, picnic tables, and electricity for camping. This is a wonderful, well-equipped, and scenic picnic site, but the ocean can be quite treacherous here. Swimming isn’t advised here, but you may see some brave surfers catching a ride offshore.
