The drive through Waimea Canyon to the vista point to see the Western side of the Naapali Coast is long and this is a perfect place to stop for lunch, stretch your legs and learn about the Waimea Canyon area and Kauai in general. You'll learn where the wettest point on Kauai is and all about the flora and fauna that populates the island. The museum is tiny, probably won't take you more than 15 minutes for most folks to walk through. Outside the museum is a huge field with lots of chickens which is always fun for babies.
