I have been there about 3 times in the 6 months I've lived in the area, so I do like it (I live 30-40 minutes away.) I go because I enjoy the ride there. You see lots of local Amish folks going about their lives. My girls particularly get a kick out of the horses and buggies all over the roads. Once you get to Kitchen Kettle Village, the food is delicious - even my 2 yr old and 3 yr old love it. Beyond that, this is an area with lots of shops. It's always hard to shop with toddlers, so that's not my favorite part of my visits.
"Intercourse is everything I thought it would be." Or at least that's what the souvenir T-shirts from Intercourse, PA proclaim. The Kitchen Kettle Village boasts a wide variety of shops and eateries. Plus, the antique stores are a must with lots of great finds. Just make sure you leave enough room in your suitcase or in the car when you're packing to make the trek to this area.
Review for the "village" not for the Inn. I have not stayed at the Inn, so I do not know.
Kitchen Kettle Village offers many shopping options, mostly specializing in local products. They have a Cafe, with very good food. There is a free outdoor playground (on the opposite side of the parking area from the "village area") and they have other activities for the kids, although the activities vary and are not always available. Please check ahead to see when and what kids activities are available. Their food items are very good. Buggy rides are also available. Free to get in, but you must pay for what you want to do... like the buggy rides and such.
2012-free wifi and I've discovered the $1 gingerbread cookies to decorate are availible year round.
