From the Kimball Art Center website: "The Kimball Art Center is the heart of Park City’s historic and vibrant arts community. We are a non-profit center for the arts, committed to engaging individuals of all ages in diverse and inspiring experiences through education, exhibitions and events."
We visited the Kimball Art Center when they had their Lego exhibit and my kids went crazy. This was a free event (small donations are appreciated) and was a great way to relax with the kids before heading downtown to eat. The coffee shop in the front of the art center was a great surprise. If you love art, Park City has a lot of studios to visit. Kimball was our favorite by far and the Lego exhibit was very impressive.
We make a point of visiting the Kimball Art Center every time we are in Park City. The artistic quality and variety of the exhibition programs are exceptional. It's always a pleasure to see what's on display in their galleries. If we happen to be in town during one of the curator's Art Talk events, we're even happier! Since the admission is all donation based, we are able to generously give what we can and enjoy the galleries without feeling rushed. It's also fun to talk with the volunteers at the front desk. They are very informative and quite friendly with the kiddos. They help make art fun and memorable for them...and even the grown ups!
