"Felt like another country"

This park in Hayward is interesting. It's situated over a large, flat area and has features not usually found in a city park - electric train ride, merry-go-round, snack bar, pony rides and a petting zoo. We went there initially to check out the train. Relatively underwhelming for all of us since we frequent the steam trains at Tilden Park which are amazing. We checked out the merry-go-round. Not so great. Our son could somehow feel the mediocrity because he wanted off his horse 10 seconds into the ride. Strangely enough the petting zoo was the highlight of the trip. It's kinda one of those sad little petting zoos but there was one adorable goat that put up with our son laying down on top of him. Overall, Kennedy Park - meh.
