Like a lot of the beaches on the north shore, there's not much parking. It's worth a walk to see this stunning beach. This is the end of the road on Kauai. We saw more sea turtles than we'd ever seen (we're scuba divers). Just be careful snorkeling and swimming if the water is choppy. We were there in the spring. I recommend an umbrella for shade (necessary for my pale husband and boys), unless you can find a spot by the treeline.
Ke`e Beach is great for swimming in the summer months. It’s also known islandwide as one of the best snorkeling spots in all of Kauai. You’ll see a variety of colorful marine life, and the offshore coral reef makes snorkeling safe here even when it’s choppy in other places. Suitable for strong swimmers only.
This beach is so great. Pretty much guaranteed sea turtles for snorkelers. The waves are pretty mellow in the summer making it a good beach for the entire family. The trailhead for the Napali Coast trail is here too. I can't wait until our little one is a bit older - maybe 5/6 yrs to fully enjoy the natural wonders of Ke'e. The only real problem is the tricky parking situation. I would hate to lug a family's worth of gear any farther than say, 500 yards.
