"Fun, but pricey"

Our visit to the Kalahari was fun, but a little pricey. The waterpark is included with your stay at the hotel, but the indoor activities are all priced separately. The kids had fun in the waterpark the first day, but were bored by the second day. We plan to visit the Dells again, but probably won't stay here again.

"Mixed emotions"

My family and I have been to almost every indoor water park in the dells and this is in tied for the top spot.  Love the atmosphere.  Really nice do-it-yourself pottery place.  Great waterslides.  Really nice lazy river and pleanty of fun in shallow water for the little ones too.  Unfortunately our most recent of four stays was pretty disappointing.  We were there for 3 nights, and the 3 slides my son enjoys were closed the entire time.  Not to mention, the service at the front desk was horrible.  We also had a car alarm going off outside our window for 3 hours in the middle of the night.  When we called down they asked us what we would like them to do about it.  We told them to call the police.  The rest of our stays were great!!

"Enertaining"

I went there with my husband for an exotic escape and it didn't let us down! Sure the hotel rooms were nothing special but we hardly stayed in them ! We thoroughly enjoyed the massive water park, especially the waterslide that goes outside the actual building and indoor surfing. I liked the restaurant, they had nice mood lighting and very entertaining bar staff that was juggling glasses and pouring drinks in a special manner. I was only sad that we missed seeing the baby lion that was arriving a day after we left. Very scenic and beautiful but for a price.

"Kalahari Resort WI dells"

My family and a friends family stayed at the resort in Aug 2010.  The employees were not very friendly or helpful in that matter.  The kids did enjoy the water park and had lots of fun.  But I would say it is a kid friendly water park not very adult suitable in my opinion.  The water park consisted of a couple of body slides, a tube slide, water coaster and a few other rides.  I would not recommend staying here again the next time we stay in the dells I will be looking at other hotels to stay at.  The beds were very uncomfortable hard and lumpy also coffee was not provided in the rooms.  We asked for some coffee at the front desk and was told that they do not give out coffee that you need to purchase coffee at one of the vendor locations inside the resort.

"Mixed review - fun for kids, but pricey"

We live an hour from Kalahari and go there once a year during the long, cold winters for a break. The last few years the hotel service and room cleanliness has gone downhill. For the price (can be $150-200+/night), it may not be worth it. It depends on what you're looking for. It does have an incredible variety of water park rides for kids of all ages. There is also a movie theater and lots of dining options. You might want to book a hotel room nearby and just visit the water park to save some money though!

"Pretty good!"

Kalahari was a pretty nice place. The resort itself is beautiful and there are a lot of things to do to stay busy and not have to leave the property. I do feel the waterpark fits teenagers better than any other age groups, but my younger kids did still have a lot of fun. They keep asking to go back so they must have had a lot of fun! Be prepared to spend a nice chunk of money. But for the most part it's worth every bit!

"Wonderful Indoor Waterpark"

We visited the Kalahari hotel in September 2010 (the outdoor waterpark was closed by this time) with my 3 year old daughter and her grandparents.  She LOVED it!  Of course, she was too little for the giant waterslides, but she loved the kiddie slides, the wave pool, and the lazy river.  There is a camera overlooking the wave pool that is tuned to an in-hotel channel and she thought it was very cool to watch the people swim from her room.

The arcade in the hotel was large and gave "tickets" that could be redeemed for prizes.  Some were for her age group and she easily played them and won tickets.

We were lucky to have a room in the main building close to the waterpark area.  The hotel property extends across the street and I wouldn't want one of those rooms if you were there solely to enjoy the water attractions.

"Very Nice and Fun!"

This is a great waterpark for all ages. I took my son here when he was under 1 and they have the baby swings in the water with shallow water...they also have plenty to do for those people not into the waterparks but if you pay for the hotel room which can be pricey, but you can the number of wristbands needed to all people in your room that it is well worth it. The favorite ride is the surfing ride!

"Indoor and Outdoor Fun for the WHOLE Family"

This is the first year we have gone here.  What I liked most about it was it was very toddler friendly.  They have areas for the little ones to have fun.  There are so many attractions in the Resort I was very surprised from rides to water rides to games and so many other things for the family to enjoy together.  They had the right idea in mind when they created this resort...plus you don't have to have a room there to enjoy their theme park.  It was alot of fun for everyone.
