"Family Tradition"
Going to Kah-nee-ta is a must every summer! We love the location and how quiet and restful it is.
There are two resorts with-in one, The Lodge and The Village. Groups with kids typically stay in the Village. However we have done both several times and it really depends on the type of get-away you are wanting.
If you stay in the Lodge you are next to the Casino and Restaurants/Lounge there is an exercise facility and couple of video games. It can be a little bit cooler in the Lodge. Sometimes it makes it more enjoyable when it is so hot in the Village.
AND if you stay in the Lodge you are able to swim in the Village (not the other way around).
The Village has a small snack shack, much better video games, put-put golf, basket-ball, bicycle rentals and an Olympic sized swimming pool with water slides. The lifeguard’s are on point, they all seem to take their job seriously. Cabins, Hotel, Tee-Pee's and R.V.s are in the Village.
There is also a great Golf Course with driving range, Horse back ridding $$$ is you have several people and Kayaking and fishing on the river. You may not use worms as bate.
If we are only going to stay a couple of nights we hotel it usually in the Village. If we want to stay longer then we bring our R.V.
Personally I would not stay in the Tee-Pee's they are on a concrete slab with a picnic table and fire-pit for cooking. We are tent campers but this is worse, it's more of a last minute, only thing available decision.
Overall we love it ever year and the kids always want to stay longer. BRING SUNSCREEN :)

"Good Family Entertainment"
This is good place for the whole family to visit. They have a huge pool area with childrens area as well as a regular pool area. It has a waterslide and a hot tub. This area also has an arcade and a snack shack. It gets very busy during the summer. You need to come early if you want to get a chair. It also gets really hot at Kahneeta during the summer. Based on Portland, OR weather it is generally 10 degrees warmer.
They have a hotel with decent sized rooms. The rooms are nothing fancy but clean and made for families. They also have teepees that you can rent and stay the night in.
For the parents they have a casino and spa. If your children are old enough they can go to the arcade if not they have childcare.
Our family loves to go during the summer for the outdoor salmon bakes, pool, horse back riding and staying in a teepee.

"A Great Family Getaway! "
My family loves to go to Kahneeta! There is so much to do here. They have multiple pools, so all ages can find their perfect pool. There are huge waterslides for those who meet the height requirements, and a little baby slide for those who don't. We spend all day by the pool! They also have a little playground for the kids, so we always pack a lunch and either eat by the river that runs right past the pool or at the playground. There are picnic tables at both places. There is also an arcade, snack shack and mini golf course that the kids love! For adults, they have a casino, a golf course and a spa. Though they have lodging (including teepees), you can attend all activities as a day use.
