Hop on a boat and take a guided tour of the jungle, Disney-style. The tour guides are known for their cheesy humor, sure to crack a smile on even the most serious faces.
No minimum height requirement.
This was such a great ride. I was on a play date with two 3 year old's and us mothers enjoyed it as much as the little ones. The boat captain made this so much fun with really funny humor while the little ones enjoyed the view. My daughter and her friend loved all the life like mechanical animals and wanted to go again and again. This is a must!
This is true classic, you cannot missout on this ride! We ride it every time we go, sure sometimes we hear the same jokes but when they throw in a new one its like a hidden treasure. My husband loves this ride and our oldest now loves it too! It fun to share something with your child that you were able to enjoy at their age :)
My kids love hopping on the boat that takes them through the wild jungles of Disneyland. Hippos, crocodiles, zebras and tigers are seen in various funny and (jokingly) scary situations. The jokes and puns fly from the tour guide but most of them go right over my kid's heads. Now that my older ones are older (10 and 8) they noticed things like shrunken skulls and the zebra killed by the tigers (or lions?) I had to explain things and comfort some fears. My younger ones were not scared at all but enjoyed the scenery.
The jungle cruise is one of the original Disneyland rides that opened in 1955. The ride takes guests on a jungle safari cruise through deep thick greenery and lush tropical foliage. Your boat captain entertains the adults with jokes and sarcasm that goes completely over the little one's heads, and the kids are entertained looking at the moving animals throughout the ride. The animatromics on the animals are a bit dated, but my kids are often fooled by their realism.
Very small little ones might be afraid of some of the animals that pop out of the water like the crocodiles and the piranhas that spray water. A keen parental eye can see these coming and let kids know in advance before they jump. The captain also shoots his pop gun off a few times during the ride and it might make your little baby cry, so again, be prepared.
We always ride the Jungle Cruise because the line is usually very short (and moves quickly), the shaded lush greenery and cool water provides a heat relief, and I enjoy riding a ride with such long history.
