"A Forest of Families"

I have very fond memories of camping here with my family and I can't wait until the kids are just a bit older and my husband can manage to take some time off so that we can go.  I can't wait to take my children on hikes, swimming in the water holes, and tubing down the river.  And at night, roasting marshmallows, making s'mores, and gazing at the stars.  Also, for those of you who are like me and need to shower daily...there are warm showers!  One of my top three favorite places to camp.

"Great spot to camp"

This Park combine the majestic Redwood Forest with the rugged coast line that Big Sur is famous for! If you enjoy nature there are great sites here...waterfalls, surf, hiking trails, wildflowers, and keep your eyes open for the banana slugs! Nights are cool during the summer so bring a sweater, but this is a great place to escape the valley heat!

"Fun with the Family"

A glowing jewel of forest and coastline on 3,600 acres of undeveloped wilderness. A 0.5-mile, easy trail along McWay Creek leads to a waterfall that plunges over an 8foot cliff into the ocean. The Partington Creek Trail goes through a canyon and a 100-foot rock tunnel to Partington Cove Beach, where sea otters play in the kelp beds.Beyond the state park, 60 miles south of Carmel, Jade Cove is actually a string of coves, where Monterey jade is found at low tide and following storms.
