"Fun with the Family"

Families flock to this wide, sandy beach below town to swim in the Russian River (life-guards on duty). There is a roped-off swimming area for small kids, and visitors can rent canoes, kayaks, paddleboats, umbrellas, inner tubes, and beach chairs. You can also launch your own watercraft here.

"Canoe the Russian River"

Very nice scenery and the water is mild and relatively shallow which is great for kids.  Use caution about some local residents living on the water's edge that may feel that clothing is optional.  We saw more than we bargained for.  Otherwise canoe prices were very reasonable and it was a fun day.  Call ahead to see if you can reserve one before planning your day.
