The John Deere Pavilion was created as a celebration of the past, present and future of agribusiness. It has attracted guests from all corners of the globe and is recognized as the world’s most comprehensive agricultural exhibit.
John Deere’s dream of producing a superior self-scouring plow for the western farmer became a reality in 1848, with his first manufacturing plant located on the banks of the Mississippi River. This history-shaping development in agriculture is preserved and celebrated at the Pavilion. Interactive exhibits mingle with actual John Deere equipment, creating a unique, hands-on and climb-on experience for visitors.

Located in downtown Moline, the John Deere pavillion is a fun place to visit. They have several tractors, combines and other farm equipment on display in the pavillion. They are all open to the public, so that you can get inside and sit in the drivers seat and see all the controls. MY boys thought this was great. It was alot of fun and there were several learning opportunities there too. There are several great resturants in the area too. They are also located right on the Mississippi River and this ia great place to see the beauty of the river front. Great place for families to visit!
the kdis love this and its FREE! they have some great screens with games to help the kdis understand how a crop is harvested - They are always changing the tractors and you get to get into most of them which is really fun - they also have a "Letter Box" hidden in here - if you know what letter boxing is which is also a great family activity, we visit several times a year.
We went there with our children (ages 8, 6, 4, and 1). They really enjoyed climbing into the cabs of the John Deere tractors on display. The showroom is free and there is some history of the John Deere company. The showroom is free. There is a gift shop with clothes, toys, books, etc. for anyone interested in John Deere stuff.
This 15,000-square-foot exhibition hall with a glass front is across the street from the MARK of the Quad Cities in downtown Moline. Built in the late 1990s, it is literally a big part of the city’s riverfront renovation project. Inside are antique tractors and exhibits related to agriculture. Although it also has some huge farm machines, this facility is more formal than the world headquarters building described earlier in this section; you can’t run around and climb on everything here. The John Deere Store souvenir shop has some quality merchandise, including sturdy toy tractors and Ertl toys. The Planted Earth Cafe has food.
Moline is the home of the worldwide headquarters of John Deere. This pavillion is has many informational displays and has recently updated their children's area with a tv that plays farming videos, a pretend cow to milk, an art area and seed identification area. They also have a monthly family day with activities surrounding a farm theme. However the best part for kids is that you can actually climb in and pretend in the John Deere equipment, they rotate the types of equipment they have, recently some of them were a combine, mower and cotton planter. There is a store with all John Deere attached and a resturant, Planted Earth. There are several other resturants within walking distance as well, and a bike path across the street along the Mississippi River.
