"For candy lovers..."

The Nitty Gritty: We went here for the Easter Hoppenings. The tour was free. It is more of a warehouse instead of a factory. You get to ride on a tram around the perimeter of the warehouse. There are "stops" where you watch a video on the jelly bean making process. There is plenty of parking. Probably best not to bring the stroller as you'll be on the tram and the shop. There is stroller parking if you will be bringing it.

The fun: We went here in April when my son was 11 months old. Since it was an Easter event, the lines for the tour (45 min.) were long and the shop was crowded. The line to see the Easter Bunny snaked around the whole store. There was a magician and a clown.

Son's fav moment: Pointing at all the Jelly Bellys.

Parent's fav moment: Sampling any jelly belly we wanted. My husband was courageous in trying out the "gross" jelly beans but ending up spitting it out as they were simply disgusting.

Bottom Line: I would recommend if you were in the area. The outlet malls are about 5 minutes away. CHildren 4+ would probably enjoy if they are interested in watching videos of how the jelly belly beans are made. Plus if you love jelly bellys...you must try the different sample flavors.

"Good way to spend a couple of hours"

My kids, my parents, and I went on a weekday, so it wasn't very busy. The kids were bored waiting for the tour to start, but they liked riding in the train and tasting the jelly beans at the end. The tour part only lasted 15 -20 minutes, but browsing in the gift store took some time. I wouldn't recommend it for very young children, but school aged kids should enjoy it.

"SWEET!"

Free Jelly Belly samples, a train ride, more free samples...what more could you want?  My almost 2 year old and my older 5 and 7 year old nephews all enjoy this.  We adults also indulged in the sweets!  Our favorites are the Belly Flops, but they have gone up in price considerably in recent years.  The beans that don't make the final inspection cut are packaged up and sold as flops, but they taste great just the same.  It is also nice that there are special events over the holidays like Christmas and Easter.  YUM, YUM, YUM!

"Great for kids"

Do your kids love jelly bellys as much as mine? This is the perfect place to take your candy crazed little ones! It's free! Can't beat that. A neat learning experience. My kids love seeing where some of their favorite things come from so this was a lot of fun for us. If you are passing through or just bored some day, stop in and check it out, you wont be let down

"Soo Much Fun and Educational "

Our whole family enjoys this stop every year! It features a live tour on a train where you get to wear an awesome hat and you are taken through the steps of how Jelly Bellys originated and how they are made all the way to how they are shipped! At the end you enjoy a sample pack of jelly bellys and also get to shop inside the jelly belly store allowing you to try any jelly belly imaginable !

"Not worth the trip"

We drove two hours to get to the factory and my kids were bored.  The train was fun but not worth driving for two hours for.  It is a cute idea but not as interactive as I hoped it would be.  Kind of like going to a candy store at the mall.  In less it is less then 20 minutes from where you are , I do not recommend it,

"Jellybelly Great for families"

Jelly belly is a great addition to our area. They have family events for mostly holidays. Its always fun to go and tour the factory and get samples and win prizes. It was always nice when we lived in an apartment to go to Jelly Belly for Halloween and see all the kids in costumes and the clowns for face painting and the friendly staff.

"Free Jelly Belly but lame tour"

The tour itself is kinda lame you ride around the warehouse and watch videos of the real manufacturing process.

You do get some freebies and the store has a lot of yummy treats.  Lukcily the tour is free, it can get a little busy on the weekends.

"See how jelly beans are made"

Although not a factory tour, you get to ride on a tram through the Jelly Belly warehouse and see scenes from how the jelly beans and other candies are made.  At the end, you get a free bag of jelly beans, and can buy "belly flops" seconds in large bag to satisfy your sweet tooth for a few more days.
