"Fun with the Family"
This museum, operated by Mary Washington College, contains hundreds of artifacts from Monroe’s law practice, including the desk where he signed the Monroe Dotrine, his collection of Louis XVI furniture, and his wife’s gems and gowns. Kids can go on a scavenger hunt, and there’s an activity center with reproductions of period items for children to touch.
