The Jacksonville Landing used to be the place to be! It is definitely the place to go when the University of Florida plays University of Georgia, but other than that, I would skip this. It does have a nice boardwalk. There are a lot of business people that eat here during the week because it is close to where they work. As far as for children, I would pass. Nothing exciting! It used to be great when it first opened with an arcade and a fudge making statin. St. Johns Town Center is a way better choice!
I remember when the Landing first opened. It was really cool, with lots of great stores and an arcade. Now it is kind of sad. Empty stores and a pathetic selection in the food court. The arcade has been closed for years now. The only saving grace is a good selection of full restaurants and a pretty good schedule of entertainment throughout the year.
Downtown Jacksonville is on the move. On the northern riverfront, Jacksonville Landing makes for a lively shopping, dining, and entertainment experience. Toy Factory (904-353-4874) is a really fun shop.
